FAQ

How do I obtain a product quotation?

Call or fax your inquiry. Quotations are generally issued within 24 hours.

How do I obtain a bid?

SAF Perimeter Systems is a manufacturer not a sub contractor, as such, we do not “Bid” projects. We provide quotations.

How are products shipped?

Products are packaged in wood crates with approximate dimension of 48″ x 48″ x 120″ and may weigh up to 1,500 lbs. Products are shipped via common carrier, closed van trucks. Large orders may be shipped via independent carriers direct to your site.

How long does it take to receive an order after I place it?

Lead times vary according to the natural construction cycles. Generally, during the warm spring, summer, and fall months our lead times are 5 to 6 weeks and 4 weeks during the cold winter months.

I received damaged goods, what do I do?

Please do not accept damaged goods — call our office to discuss the best course of action.

What type finish or colors do you offer?

The most common finish we offer is a Polyvinylidene Fluoride Fluropon coating (PVDF) commonly referred to as either “Kynar 500″ , “Hylar 5000″, or simply Kynar.  We offer 56 standard colors which we call “EZ Mix Kynar Colors”.  In addition to our Kynar finish, we offer anodize coatings of clear or bronze tones.

Who finishes your products?

A lot of manufacturers ship their products to a finisher to be painted.  At SAF, all finishing is done in house.  We have both paint and anodizing facilities.

Do you have touch up paint?

No, the best solution is to take a small piece of material such as a splice plate to an automotive store (CarQuest, Pep Boys) and have them match it with a 2 part epoxy/urethane auto finish.  Use touch up paint very sparingly for fastener heads and such.

Is hardware included in my order?

We offer hardware packages for most orders but they are an add option that you have to request.

I can’t download CAD Files, my computer seems to lock up, or my screen turns white

This is a known bug between Internet Explorer (IE) and AutoDesk’s TruView.  If you have AutoDesk’s AutoCAD® installed on your computer you probably have a free-ware program called “TruView” installed as well.  This free-ware allows non AutoCad® users to view CAD files.  For IE to properly download CAD files with the .dwg extension, you have two options.  Right click the download link as select “Save as Target” to your desktop, then open the file normally.  Or you may uninstall TruView from your computer and the download will function properly.

Another option is to download our DXF Files.   DXF is a universal format that all CAD programs can download and translate.  If you experience issues downloading dwg formats, try dxf instead.
