Perimeter Systems Press-Loc Series Gains FM Approval

SANFORD, NC (November 18, 2003) – Perimeter Systems, a division of Southern Aluminum Finishing Company, Inc., recently announced that its Press-Loc Series Gravel-Stop and Coping products have received final approval from Factory Mutual (FM). After months of rigorous testing and a detailed review process, the Press-Loc Series met all FM requirements and will now be listed among other elite FM approved products in the quarterly equipment guide produced by Factory Mutual.

“Our customers have always expected high-quality and long-lasting roofing accessory products that withstand any weather conditions,” said Frank Mills, Perimeter System’s general manager. “Now, backed by the Factory Mutual approval, the entire construction industry will recognize our commitment to manufacturing durable products.”

“Poor perimeter edging combined with environmental hazards, such as strong winds, contribute to the failure of many roof systems,” continued Mills. Factory Mutual was developed to service insured builders by providing testing and evaluations that determine which products on the market are of the quality level needed to guard against such failures. The FM standard applies to many products, including roofing systems, and it is widely recognized among the entire construction industry.
