1A. Support Bracket
Support Brackets are installed to the eaves fascia board. If
the fascia board is larger than the gutter system then flashing trims
such as our J-Covers should be installed prior to bracket installation.
Support brackets are fastened with #10 x 2" wood screws.
1B. Keeper
Bracket
Keeper Brackets are provided for the Roman Fascia Profile due to its
large size (keeper brackets are not necessary for our other profiles).
2. Concealed
Liner
Aluminum gutter liners are factory notched to receive both support
brackets and interior straps. Notching for these brackets alternates for
equal offset spacing. Liners are manufactured with 1" telescoping
joints which are field riveted and sealed with a high performance gutter
seal or clear silicone caulk. Once the liner is mounted onto its mating
support brackets, its upper rear edge is fastened through factory elongated
holes.
3. Snap-On
Fascia
Fascia selection must be determined when ordering the Designer Series
Gutter System. Each fascia profile has its own unique support bracket
and for this reason fascia profiles are not interchangeable. Fascias are
installed by hooking their lower hemmed edge over the support brackets
lower retainer stem and pulling into position. Fascia joint treatment
is a 3/8" expansion reveal with a 6" concealed (backup) splice
plate.
4. Interior
Strap
Interior straps complete the system installation. These straps weave
through notched holes in the liners outer lip, engaging the fascias
hemmed edge, and are riveted to the liners upper rear edge. Once
installed, the straps securely lock the decorative fascias in place.
